Patrick Foley is the chief economist at Lloyds Banking Group, having reverted to that role in 2008 after five years as director of group strategy and corporate development. Patrick advises senior management on economic developments and strategic economic issues and is responsible for a small team who provide economic analysis and forecasting for the Group.  He is also responsible for coordinating the work of other economists within the Group.
