2021 Macroeconomic Outlook and Labor Market Update: A GIC Members Private Roundtable Discussion
As a follow up to our Executive Briefing which took place on January 14, 2021, GIC is pleased to invite our members to a virtual private roundtable to continue our discussion on the 2021 macroeconomic outlook as well as an update on the labor market. Our featured discussants are GIC Advisory Council Member, Philippa Dunne, co-editor of two independent macro-economic newsletters: The Liscio Report and Sightlines Bulletin, and GIC Chair Emeritus, Donald Rissmiller, Founding Partner of Strategas, and GIC Vice Chair of International, Michael Drury, Chief Economist of McVean Trading & Investments, LLC, as moderator.
A hallmark of GIC’s programming, Roundtable Discussions invite Members to participate in a candid exchange of viewpoints and ideas among industry leaders on issues most relevant to the global economic environment and are held under Chatham House Rule*. Pre-registration for this virtual event is required and is limited to only 15 GIC Members.

Michael Drury
Chief Economist, McVean Trading & InvestmentsMichael Drury is the chief economist for McVean Trading & Investments, LLC. He joined the firm in 1992, after serving for five years as senior economist with Allen Sinai at Shearson Lehman Brothers and its successor firms. Michael began his career in New York in 1982 as senior economist at A. Gary Shilling and Company. He received his B.S. in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and did his graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Philippa Dunne
Co-Editor, The Liscio Report and Sightlines BulletinPhilippa Dunne is co-editor of two independent macro-economic newsletters: The Liscio Report, with a trading focus, and Sightlines Bulletin, which takes a longer perspective.
Donald Rissmiller
Founding Partner and Chief Economist of StrategasMr. Rissmiller is a founding Partner of Strategas and has directed the Firm's macroeconomic research efforts since 2006. He oversees Strategas' thematic research as well as high-frequency econometric forecasting.
