GIC’s College of Central Bankers announces two new Fellows, formerly of the Bank of Japan and the Central Bank of Cyprus

Since its inception in 2018, the Global Interdependence Center’s (GIC) College of Central Bankers, has continued to sustain and enhance GIC’s relationships with former leaders of the world’s central banks and theirs with the Global Interdependence Center. The only organization of its kind, the College of Central Bankers allows its Fellows to continue to share their unique insight and knowledge following careers as leaders in global Central Banking.
The Global Interdependence Center is delighted to announce the induction of two new Fellows into its College of Central Bankers. The newly inducted Fellows are:
Peter A. Gold, GIC Board Vice Chair and Chair of the College of Central Bankers, provided commentary: “I am delighted that the 2021 Fellows have been elected to our group of distinguished global leaders. Our Fellows combined have a unique set of skills – not only in policy and decision-making, but also hands-on experience that is unlike any other group in the world.”

- William Poole, Senior Fellow, Cato Institute and Former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis (2018)
- Anthony Santomero, Former President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (2018)
- Dennis Lockhart, Former President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta (2019)
- Charles Plosser, Former President & CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (2019)
- David (Danny) Blanchflower, Former Member of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of England (2020)
- Jose De Gregorio, Former President of the Central Bank of Chile (2020)
- Patrick Honohan, Former Governor of Central Bank of Ireland (2020)
- José Manuel González Páramo, Former Member of the Executive Board of the European Central Bank (2020)
- Alfonso Prat-Gay, Former Governor of the Central Bank of Argentina (2020)
- Roger Ferguson, former Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the U.S. Federal Reserve System; President and Chief Executive Officer of TIAA (2020)
- Katarzyna Zajdel-Kurowska, former Board member of the Management Board of the National Bank of Poland (2020)
