We invite you to join GIC on Monday, December 11, 2023 for the dedication of our Global Citizen Award to longstanding GIC Board Member, Michael Drury.
About the Global Citizen Award: This award is given to individuals who have provided substantial support to GIC and its mission. Recipients of this award have been strong advocates of GIC’s efforts to encourage the development of worldwide communities through increased knowledge, understanding and partnership.
Immediately following the award ceremony, GIC will host the 41st Annual Monetary & Trade Conference. This year’s event will explore demographics and the world economy.

He leads teams that are responsible for Vanguard’s research and thought leadership agendas as well as the development and oversight of the firm’s investment methodologies and models. His areas of expertise are economics, asset allocation, portfolio management, and investment strategies.
Michael Drury
Chief Economist, McVean Trading & InvestmentsMichael Drury is the chief economist for McVean Trading & Investments, LLC. He joined the firm in 1992, after serving for five years as senior economist with Allen Sinai at Shearson Lehman Brothers and its successor firms. Michael began his career in New York in 1982 as senior economist at A. Gary Shilling and Company. He received his B.S. in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and did his graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
