We invite GIC Members to join us on our return visit to Cuba! We are delighted to be working with Cuba Educational Travel (CET), a leader in business and policy travel to Cuba, to assist in facilitating our return to Havana! Join us January 14-18/20, 2024 to experience Cuba’s rapidly changing society and gain a deeper understanding of the island, while ensuring full compliance with all U.S. regulations. 

CET has prepared a customized itinerary enabling GIC’s Members to experience Cuba’s rapidly changing society and gain a deeper understanding of the island, while ensuring full compliance with all U.S. regulations.   In Havana, our Delegation will meet with senior representatives from the Central Bank of Cuba, Cuba’s Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the U.S. Embassy in Cuba, select European Diplomats, as well members of the Entrepreneurial community.

After visiting Havana, our Delegation will depart for Trinidad, Cuba, with a stop at the Bay of Pigs, the site of the U.S.-coordinated invasion in 1961 and meet with survivors of the invasion. Our program will conclude with a tour of Trinidad, Cuba, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and guests will return to the U.S. from Santa Clara International Airport (SNU).

January 14 – 18 – HAVANA ONLY – GROUND PACKAGE PRICING*
The package cost is $4,825 per person (double occupancy) and $5,550 per person (single occupancy). Upgraded room options are available at $5,175 per person (double occupancy) and $5,900 per person (single occupancy). 

JANUARY 14 – 20 – HAVANA & TRINIDAD – GROUND PACKAGE PRICING**

The package cost is $5,625 per person (double occupancy) and $6,350 per person (single occupancy). Upgraded room options are available at $5,975 per person (double occupancy) and $6,700 per person (single occupancy). 

*Based on a minimum of 12 travelers
*Based on standard rooms. Due to the nature of boutique properties, there are a limited number of standard and upgraded rooms available.

Payment Timeline

A deposit of $1,000 per person is due by October 13, 2023 or until all spaces have been filled – whichever comes first. Once the deposit is received, each member will be asked to sign the CET Memorandum of Understanding. Full payment will be due November 13.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made by October 31 are eligible for a full refund.

Cancellations made between November 1 – November 30 are eligible for a 50% refund.

Cancellations made on or after December 1 are not eligible for a refund.

If U.S. policy is altered to make it so that the trip is not compliant with U.S. law regarding travel to Cuba, a full refund will be granted. This will ONLY be the case if there is no legal avenue for travel to Cuba that would allow for the trip to move forward.
