Monetary Policy in Sub Saharan Africa: Practice and Promise
On March 27 and 28, GIC partnered with the University of Cape Town for a conference entitled “Monetary Policy in Sub Saharan Africa: Practice and Promise.” GIC’s delegation included Charles Plosser, president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, who held a joint presentation on global monetary policy with Jurgen Stark, member of European Central Bank’s Executive Board. The conference was held at the Mount Nelson Hotel in Cape Town and was generously sponsored by Absa Capital.
