34th Annual Monetary and Trade Conference
International Trade Agreements and Implications for Global Growth: Mega Trade Deals
For nearly 40 years, GIC has been a proponent of open and free trade. This year’s AMT conference will focus
on the potential impacts of mega trade agreements such as the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Co-hosted by the Drexel University LeBow College of Business, this April 19th program will highlight macro-level as well as sectoral impacts on the economy.
IMCA has accepted this program for 3 hours of CE credit towards the CIMA®, CIMC® and CPWA® certifications. If you hold the CIMA®, CIMC® or CPWA® certification(s), you may report this CE program online by logging into your My IMCA account at www.imca.org/user. Detailed reporting instructions can be found at http://www.imca.org/pages/onlinereporting. When reporting online, leave the provider name field blank and fill in the program ID# and date attended fields only.
AFCPE has approved this program for 3 credit hours. Upon completion of the approved conference or workshop, each Certificant must complete the Proof of Participation section on the CEU Form. Damien Levie
Head of Trade & Agriculture Team, Embassy of the European Union in Washington DCDamien Levie heads the Trade and Agriculture Section of the European Union Delegation in Washington, DC. Before coming to Washington, he was a member of the Cabinet (personal office) of EU Trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht from 2009 to 2012. He subsequently headed the USA and Canada team of the Directorate General for Trade at the European Commission. During that period, he contributed to the pursuit of an ambitious EU trade policy agenda with the Americas, in particular the launch of the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) negotiations between the U.S. and the EU, for which he was deputy chief negotiator.

Serge Shikher
International Economist, Research Division Office of Economics, U.S. International Trade CommissionSerge Shikher is International Economist in the Research Division of the U.S. International Trade Commission. His research interests are primarily in the fields of international trade, labor, international production, innovation, and macroeconomics. His recent papers investigate the determinants of trade and specialization, describe a new model of international production, and evaluate the accuracy of forecasted effects of trade agreements.
George Tsetsekos, Ph.D.
Francis Professor of Finance and Dean Emeritus Drexel’s LeBow College of BusinessDr. George Tsetsekos, serves as the Francis professor of Finance and Director of the Risk Management Center at the LeBow College of Business. He served as Dean of LeBow (2002-2012) and under his transformative leadership the college achieved national rankings and quality milestones in research and teaching.
Yoto Yotov
Associate Professor, Economics, LeBow College of Business at Drexel UniversityYoto V. Yotov is a tenured Associate Professor at the School of Economics of the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University. He is also a Fellow at the CESifo Research Network and an Associated Research Fellow at the Economic Research Institute of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. Yotov’s research interests are in the area of international trade, specifically, quantifying the effects of international trade policy on various economic outcomes, measurement of international trade costs, and political economy of trade policy.
