Event Detail
40th Annual Monetary & Trade Conference and Global Citizen Award Ceremony
Since the 2015 Paris Agreement, various efforts have aimed at developing a comprehensive climate policy based on relevant data, disclosures, and approaches. Despite the efforts of the G20 Sustainable Finance Working Group, the climate policy agenda still appears fuzzy, and the consequences of climate events on countries, businesses, and financial portfolios remain distressing.
This conference intends to shed some light on outstanding climate-related issues and the economic and societal consequences of climate-related initiatives. In addition to economic matters, the conference speakers will highlight corporate and financial market developments relating to ESG and green finance and explore viable sustainability proposals going forward.
We invite you to join GIC on Tuesday, November 15, 2022 to celebrate 40 years of our Annual Monetary & Trade Conference! This year’s event will explore climate-related issues and include the dedication of our Global Citizen Award to GIC Board Member and continued Chair of the AMT, George Tsetsekos, Francis Professor of Finance and Dean Emeritus Drexel’s LeBow College of Business. Joining us as a keynote speaker is Patrick Harker, the President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia.
About the Global Citizen Award: This award is given to individuals who have provided substantial support to GIC and its mission. Recipients of this award have been strong advocates of GIC’s efforts to encourage the development of worldwide communities through increased knowledge, understanding and partnership.
Attendees of this conference can receive continuing education credit from the Certified Financial Planner Board for 3 credit hours. Please email Colleen Murphy at [email protected] for more details.
