Charles Evans, president of the Chicago Federal Reserve Bank, is among the featured experts at this one-day conference in London on June 3. We invite you to join us as we then travel to Finland that weekend, and continue our programming in Helsinki the following week. Charles Evans
President of the Federal Reserve Bank of ChicagoCharles L. Evans is the ninth president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. In that capacity, he serves on the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC), the Federal Reserve System's monetary policymaking body.
Manuel Balmaseda
Chief Economist, CEMEXManuel Balmaseda is the Chief Economist at CEMEX, a leading global building materials corporation. Previously he served as Chief Economist for Spain and Europe at BBVA, Chief Economist for Capital Markets at BBV, professor of economics at CEMFI and visiting researcher at the Federal Reserve Bank in Minneapolis.
Graham Bishop
Professorial Research Fellow at London Metropolitan University and Independent ConsultantGraham Bishop is an independent consultant on EU integration. His expertise spans political, financial, economic and budgetary matters. Mr Bishop has been a member of many European Commission Expert Groups and Committees, including the Expert Group on Redemption Funds and Eurobills, the Consultative Group on the Impact of the Euro on Capital Markets (the Giovannini Group), the Commission's Strategy Group on Financial Services (1998 – creating the Financial Services Action Plan) and the Committee of independent experts on the preparation of the changeover to the single currency (1994/5).

As director of one of the country’s premiere forecasting centers, Dhawan develops forecasts for the U.S., Southeast regional and local metro Atlanta economies.
Michael Drury
Chief Economist, McVean Trading & InvestmentsMichael Drury is the chief economist for McVean Trading & Investments, LLC. He joined the firm in 1992, after serving for five years as senior economist with Allen Sinai at Shearson Lehman Brothers and its successor firms. Michael began his career in New York in 1982 as senior economist at A. Gary Shilling and Company. He received his B.S. in economics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and did his graduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Richard Herd
Visiting Professor, University of ShenzhenFor more than decade, Richard Herd was responsible for economic analysis of the China at the OECD. During this period, he produced the first three OECD Economic Surveys of China as well as contributing background papers for the 12th and 13th Five Year Plans, documents for the annual China Development Forum and the China chapter in the bi-annual Economic Outlook. Since retiring in 2014, Herd has become a consultant for the Guangdong Development Research Centre and a visiting professor at the University of Shenzhen. He studied at the University of Cambridge and is a British citizen.

Director of the Policy Studies Branch, Economics Department, OECDChristian Kastrop is Director of the Policy Studies Branch of the Economics Department of the OECD. He was formerly Deputy-Director General, Economics and Strategy Department and Director of Public Finance, Macroeconomics and Research Directorate in the Federal Ministry of Finance, Berlin, Germany.
Yosuke Kawakami
Director for Japan, European Bank for Reconstruction and DevelopmentYosuke Kawakami has been a Member of the Board (Director for Japan) at the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) since July 2015. He has spent the majority of his career since 1983 in the Japanese Ministry of Finance (MoF), covering public finance, financial regulation and supervision, financial markets, as well as international finance and trade.
Donald Rissmiller
Founding Partner and Chief Economist of StrategasMr. Rissmiller is a founding Partner of Strategas and has directed the Firm's macroeconomic research efforts since 2006. He oversees Strategas' thematic research as well as high-frequency econometric forecasting.
Keith Wade
Chief Economist, SchrodersKeith Wade is responsible for the Economics Team and Schroders’ view of the world economy. His role also involves formulating asset allocation strategies. Keith is a member of the Group Asset Allocation Committee. He became Schroders’ senior Economist responsible for international economic forecasting in early 1992. His investment career commenced as an UK economist when he joined Schroders in 1988.
