GIC’s Delegation to Cuba
GIC is delighted to be working with Cuba Educational Travel (CET), a leader in business and policy travel to Cuba, to assist in facilitating our program. CET has prepared a tailor-made itinerary enabling GIC’s Members to experience Cuba’s rapidly changing society and gain a deeper understanding of the island, while ensuring full compliance with all U.S. regulations. Please read the comprehensive itinerary starting with our arrival into Havana on January 13 and the following four days which are filled with a robust combination of business and cultural programming. We invite you to participate in this unique opportunity to visit Cuba with GIC!
The package cost is $4,295 per person (double occupancy) and $4,925 per person (single occupancy). This includes:
- Conference registration
- 5-nights’ accommodations at the Hotel Saratoga
- Daily breakfast
- Meals (as specified on the itinerary)
- Professional, bilingual guide for listed activities
- Local ground transportation for listed activities
- Pre-trip departure information
- Compliance with U.S. Treasury Department regulations
- Admission to all museums and public buildings listed in itinerary
The price does not include airfare, visa fee or GIC Membership Dues.
The delegation is limited to 20 Members.
Payment Timeline
A deposit of $1,000 per person is due by September 12, 2018 or until all spaces have been filled (20 total) – whichever comes first. Once the deposits are received, each member will be asked to sign the CET Memorandum of Understanding. Full payment will be due October 12, 2018.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations made by October 12 are eligible for a full refund.
Cancellations made between October 13-November 13 are eligible for a 50% refund.
Cancellations made on or after November 14 are not eligible for a refund.
If U.S. policy is altered to make it so that the trip is not compliant with U.S. law regarding travel to Cuba, a full refund will be granted. This will ONLY be the case if there is no legal avenue for travel to Cuba that would allow for the trip to move forward.
