Economic Policy at Times of Pandemic
The GIC is pleased to host this virtual briefing on economic policy during a pandemic. Our speakers, Michala Marcussen and Dr. Daniel Schiffman will provide audience members with insights from history and lessons from the great recession, followed by an outlook on how to tackle the new framework and today’s economic environment. This event is held in partnership with Ariel University and in memory of David Drelich, MD, CFP.

Chief Economist, Société GénéraleMichala Marcussen assumed the role of Societe Generale’s Group Chief Economist in September 2017 and leads a team of over 30 economists and sector engineer’s in her role as Head of Economic and Sector Research in the Risk Division.
Daniel Schiffman, Ph.D.
Professor, Department of Economics and Business Administration, Ariel UniversityDr. Daniel Schiffman (B.A., New York University; M.A. and Ph.D., Columbia University) specializes in economic history and the history of economic thought. He has published on US Railroads in the Great Depression, Jewish monetary thought, and the influence of foreign economic advisors on Israel's economic policy.
