12:00 p.m. | Luncheon Keynote: For Better or Worse, Has Globalization Peaked?
By many metrics, global integration has peaked. Is this a natural evolution– e.g. Is there a maximum desired share of foreign products in the consumption basket or maximum fragmentation of production into global value chains that can be achieved? Is this a beneficial outcome– e.g. Global integration has gone too far anyway, especially financial globalization. Considering these issues, the question really is– If globalization has peaked, is this to be welcomed or countered?
