GIC’s Delegation to Prague

The Global Interdependence Center invites you to join our three night/two day delegation program in Prague.  GIC is preparing a two-day program including meetings with central banking, government, and business leaders as well as dining and cultural events. 

GIC is delighted to partner with Zdenek Tuma, CCB Fellow and Former Governor of the Central Bank of the Czech Republic on a series of meetings and events while in Prague. An outline of our itinerary is below.

This exclusive event will be limited to only 12 spaces. The registration* rate of $2,500 includes:

  • Three nights stay at the Julius Hotel.
  • Access to all of GIC’s private meetings including those with the Czech National Bank, CSOB Bank, and others to be announced.
  • GIC’s Welcome Dinner on May 14
  • Lunch and dinner on May 15 and 16
  • Private guided city tour on May 16
  • Breakfast daily.

Our Delegation programs have taken place worldwide, offering our Members unique experiences such as lunch with Cuban entrepreneurs at an authentic paladar in Havana, a private meeting with senior officials at the National Palace in Mexico City, an exclusive visit inside the Casa Rosada in Buenos Aires, and joining the Festival of Thinkers celebration dinner hosted by the Higher Colleges of Technology in Dubai.  

*Registration does not include airfare or ground transportation.

Arrivals in Prague

  • Welcome Dinner

Thursday, May 15

Morning Roundtable Discussion at CSOB Bank

  • Meet and engage with economists both from the academia and the local market.

Visit the Czech National Bank

  • After lunch, attend a private meeting with the Central Bank’s experts for presentations on monetary policy, financial stability, and outlook on Ukraine.

Dinner

  • Experience French/Czech cuisine in a beautiful, historical home-turned upscale wine bar.

Friday, May 16

  • Presentation on architecture/urbanism development in Prague, financing the city, and a presentation on the construction of the new concert hall, Vltavská Filharmonie

Afternoon 

  • Enjoy a private guided tour of the city.        

Dinner

  • Experience modern Czech cuisine at a new restaurant headed by Michelin star chef, Mr. Radek Kasparek

Weekend, May 17 – 18

  • Members travel to Madrid for Central Banking Series  (separate registration)
