Fourth Annual Financial Literacy Day – Understanding Global Markets and Finance: The Global Interdependence Center (GIC) is returning to Sarasota, FL for our Fourth Annual Financial Literacy Day. This year will be cover global markets and finance. It will include a discussion on categories of debt as well as influences on them, including budget deficits as well as larger issues such as central bank QE and its impacts on interest rates. Participants will delve deeper into the rising use of crypto-currencies such as Bitcoin, Libra, and Venmo. Loretta J. Mester, President and CEO of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, will deliver the keynote address. GIC is excited to once again be partnering with the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee and Cumberland Advisors on this program.
