GIC Program Update due to COVID-19
March 4, 2020
March 4, 2020
The Global Interdependence Center continues to closely monitor global and regional developments caused by the continuous outbreak of the coronavirus. The safety and wellbeing of our conference attendees and speakers is our highest priority.
The Global Interdependence Center, in conjunction with our program partners, has decided to postpone conferences scheduled for March 20th (Sarasota) and March 24-25th (Paris). We feel it is best to postpone these events due to the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus and its impact on the travel plans for many of our participants.
Our Program Committee is reviewing all upcoming events on a case-by-case basis to determine what, if any, change should be made. We will update the GIC website with the status of each program accordingly.
Previously Scheduled GIC Events:
- March 20 – Outlook on Energy Policy in Sarasota: Postponed
- March 24-25 – Central Banking Series: Paris: Postponed
- May 1 – Bottom Line of Disabilities in Salt Lake City: Postponed
- May 5 – Annual Monetary and Trade Conference in Philadelphia: Postponed
- July 9 – GIC’s Return to Keystone, CO: Postponed
The Global Interdependence Center plans to reschedule postponed conferences at a later date. In addition, we plan to increase the use of virtual events in the coming weeks in order to reach our Members and the public with timely and relevant topics and themes.
Please check the GIC website for frequent updates. For questions, please contact Jillian Fornito, GIC Executive Director at +1-215-238-0990 or [email protected].
