Mr. Miguel Savastano is a Deputy Director in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). In this capacity, he oversees the advice provided by the IMF to its member countries on resolution of banking sector problems. Prior to this, he was a Deputy Director in the Western Hemisphere Department, and before that, he had assignments in the Middle East and Central Asia Department, the Finance Department, the Policy Development Department, and the Research Department.
