John Hassler, Ph.D.

John Hassler is professor of economics at the Institute for International Economic Studies, Stockholm University. He is associate editor of the Review of Economic Studies and Scandinavian Economic Review and an adjunct member of the Price Committee for the Price in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel. He is a consultant to the Finance Ministry of Sweden and a former member of the Swedish Economic Council. His research covers areas in macroeconomics, political economy, economic growth and public economics.
